I bought the paid version too to be able to synchronize my data and have it in all of my devices. It was very addictive to me so be careful. Everything is just the way I would want and imagine to make if I were to design the app simple and rather minimalistic (compared to most other apps) but contains all of the features I would need to be completely happy (the last of which was added very recently - deadline button). I have been using this app for over a year and I can’t put into words the amount of satisfaction it brings me. YOU JUST HAVE DIFFERENT SUPER POWERS AND STRENGTHS! The hard part is remembering that and learning how to use and control them in order to be our best selves.Īddictive and extremely satisfying creation YOU GOT THIS! YOU ARE CAPABLE, SMART, MOTIVATED, FOCUSED, BRAVE, AND CREATIVE! Also if you are like me and have been labeled as “slow” your whole life, then here is an important reminder: YOU ARE NOT SLOW! YOUR BRAIN JUST WORKS DIFFERENTLY. It can be a superpower when used correctly. And if you get it, then don’t be like me and USE IT OFTEN. In conclusion, IF YOU HAVE ADHD THEN YOU SHOULD GET THIS APP. Therefore, this app is especially helpful on days when I don’t just have 1 or 2 assignments to get done, but I actually have 4 assignments due that day and 2 I need to do from the day before and then 2 others that I should have gotten done A WHILE ago but I didn’t have the motivation, energy, or focus in order to do so. It also helps remind me that I can’t procrastinate because I am being timed. Without this app my breaks end up taking longer than my study time, so I basically just take breaks to study and then go back to doing whatever else I’d rather do and am actually able to focus on. It allows my brain to see that I only need to focus on whatever I’m doing for a set amount of time and then I can take a break for a set amount of time. I have ADHD and this app really helps me control it. ** Integration with Focus Matrix requires the Pro version of Focus Matrix, sold separately.Īt least somewhat distracted basically ALL THE TIME * Sync with Mac requires Be Focused Pro for macOS, sold separately. While I would have preferred to keep this data sync information within my iCloud account rather than on a separate third-party server, the actual to-do list most people would keep is probably innocuous for the most part.Staying on task seems is a real challenge for our screen-bound generation. The macOS version allows the ability to import and export to-do lists, which makes it easier to load to-do list items on a Mac compared to an iPhone or iPad. ![]() Best of all, Be Focused Pro uses a secure sync service that shares this task list between multiple devices, such as an Apple macOS computer running the macOS version of Be Focused Pro. Task lists can be exported to CSV for further reporting from the Settings screen. Tasks are entered in the To Do tab and completed tasks are kept in the Done tab. The app also supports simple project task lists to further refine focus steps towards a larger goal. But Be Focused goes much further than this countdown timer by capturing these intervals of focus and graphing your results on a bar graph, sort of like an attention span chart. Most of the Pomodoro-inspired stopwatch app features end there. Focus times and break durations can be customized, as are the sounds made from start, stop, and countdown ticking which some find hypnotic or annoying. You can reactivate those services during your breaks, after your focus period concludes. During the countdown, focus on the task at hand and leave Twitter streams and Facebook notifications turned off. Be Focused Pro starts with the Pomodoro-style timer approach of setting the duration of each job to the default value of 25 minutes.
